Kudos to Scrapbook Elements

Just a couple of minutes ago, I purchased a couple of items from Scrapbook-Elements in connection with their recent ad for their 2nd anniversary celebration. SBE is one of the very, very few stores that accept credit cards issued here in the Philippines and occasionally, I buy from the store if I find very pretty kits I could sure use and hoard for my collection.

Anyway, the transaction took a while to complete and it eventually timed out on me (special thanks to my DSL connection for that! duh!). Then I got a receipt for the confirmation of my order from the Mordale Group. I checked my account and the order was nowhere to be found. I freaked out because that's one of my biggest purchases for this month so I decided to draft an e-mail to inform SBE's customer service about what happened. Just a couple of seconds into drafting the e-mail, I received a note from John about the checkout problem I encountered. Oh my! That was REALLY, REALLY a fast one!

In that e-mail, John confirmed my payment and gave me instructions so that I can download the products I ordered. I did what I was told and in less than 5 minutes, I started downloading the products I just ordered. Oh wow! I am very, very pleased with how SBE handled the problem :)

I am not active in the SBE community but I sure like the products that they are selling because they have wonderful designers in there so I occasionally buy what I like from the ads that they release. With what happened, I'm just so pleased that their popularity and their being #1 has not stopped them from being customer-centered and oriented. I truly appreciate this and I just want to share with everyone the excellence of SBE's customer service. I hope SBE continues to stay that way and I hope other sites will follow suit :)

Back to Having "ME" Time

Journaling reads:
Lately, I've been depriving myself of my "ME" time. It took my father to tell me to start going back to my usual routine of going to the salon at certain times during the month to pamper myself. I went to the salon last weekend. I had my hair cut in layers and I had a foot spa, manicure, pedicure and a massage. I felt great so I took a photo of myself with my cellphone to "document" my coming back into the girly world.

I'm Nominated

I am so excited because I just received a private message from one of my favorite designers, Ginger Thibodeau, about my nomination in her R U Square contest. I joined the contest out of sheer fun a couple of weeks back since I have some rectangle layouts that I can enter. This is my first time to get nominated at any contest and I am just so happy about it. I have 3 layouts that were included in the long list of nominees. The other layouts are oh so pretty and I'm sure this is going to be one tough competition. But of course, all of us are winners already :)

The following were my layouts included in the list of nominees:

The Beauty of Innocence
Great Times
Krishna and Kids

I would really appreciate your votes by sending a private message to Ginger at SOTB. The thread to the forum can be found here.

Have a great week ahead!

Scrapping Slump

After about 10 days of being in a scrapping slump mood, I've finally gathered enough energy and inspiration to finish the rest of my kit assignments. I was productive on Saturday when I finally had the time to scrap after a couple of days of running errands and doing some personal stuff that I've neglected for a long time. It was fun to create those pages again and I was able to follow it through tonight. It's really a relief to be back sitting here in front of my computer after such a long time. But of course, I also welcomed the fact that I've been sleeping normally the past weeks and I gave myself a "vacation" from drinking coffee.

Anyway, I hope you enjoy looking at my newest layouts as much as I enjoyed doing them. It's already 5am and I'm going to bed to rest for a couple of hours and then off I go again to pay the bills and then hopefully, go back to scrapping after lunch. I have a bunch of things listed on my to-do list and I think I need to sort it out before another month begins.

I'll post again later today! Ciao!

BlogRolling Upgrade

In case you're wondering, there are some links in my blog roll that are missing. I am working to get an upgrade for my BlogRolling account but for some strange reason, the site doesn't want to accept my payment. I was looking into getting another blog roll for all the scrappers' blog links that are currently in my must-read list but this technical issue has been keeping me from doing so. I am looking into doing it manually but that will take some time for me to do.

Anyway, I hope everyone's having a great weekend (for my friends in the other side of the globe). It's already Monday out here and I'm just starting out my day. I plan to scrap the whole day. I need to catch up on my layouts! ROFL!

'Til the next entry :D

Who wants a paper pack?

I haven't slept a wink yet (thanks to my good ol' reliable quad venti hazelnut soy latte from Starbucks). Being a layout artist can be draining at times and just when I am in the middle of a scrapping slump, I decided to try my hand again at designing. I worked on completing another paper pack and I'm kinda proud to say that although I wasn't able to produce a single layout last night, I was able to come up with a decent paper pack to give out as a freebie.

So here it is...introducing my second paper pack, Pastels Galore.

I couldn't come up with a more catchy name for it. It was the first thing that crossed my mind after I completed the last paper. The download link is good for only 14 days or 100 downloads whichever comes first, so grab it now.

Please don't forget to read my Terms of Use (TOU). This is also to remind you that piracy is a crime punishable by law. Please feel free to share or e-mail me a link to your layout if you ever use this product :) I would be more than happy to take a look at what you were able to come up with.

As always, I'd love to hear what you have to say :)

Enjoy the freebie!

My LO Favorite of the Day

I saw Veronica's avatar when I was speaking to her at YM and I was just so attracted to the avi she was using. It was this very cute QP made from Irish Luck kit soon to be available at Digiscrappin.Biz.
This photo was taken by her friend, Carol Jean, who's a photographer. I was so drawn to this one because the teddy bear feels and looks so real I wanna hug and cuddle with it :) Don't you think so?

Special thanks to Veronica for giving me the permission to feature her completed QP.
