Award

I'd like to thank Buge for my first award for this blog. I'm so touched that you thought about me when you also received this award. Thank you so much, dear!

The Rules:
1) You have to pick 5 blogs that you consider deserve this award, creativity, design, interesting material, and also for contributing to the blogger community, no matter what language.

2) Each award has to have the name of the author and also a link to his or her blog to be visited by everyone.

3) Each award winner has to show the award and put the name and link to the blog that has given her or him the award itself.

4) Award winners and the one who has given the prize have to show the link of "Arte Y Pico" blog , so everyone will know the origin of this award, http://arteypico.blogspot.com. Make sure you visit the link. There are crafts of all kinds shown. You are bound to come away inspired.

5) Show these rules.

It's actually a tough one for me to decide on the 5 creative people I want to give this award to. I only have to choose 5.

Happy Mothers' Day

When you are a mother, you are never really alone in your thoughts. A mother always has to think twice, once for herself and once for her child.

How was NSD?

It's been a week since [Inter]National Scrapbooking Day was celebrated. It coincided with Papa's 75th birthday so it was really extra special for me. The family gave Papa a surprise birthday party which made him very, very happy. After a very, very long day, I treated myself to last-minute NSD shopping and grabbed a few freebies along the way from the generous designers.

I spent a substantial amount for the event. But I know I got a lot of great deals that were available for the event. I know I impulsively spent money again but it wasn't really bad considering that I've not spent so much for my scrapping stuff the past months.

Here are some of the great stuff I got from NSD:

1. ScrapArtist's Teacups and Tiaras, their mega kit that I got for only $3.33. Incidentally, they're celebrating their 3rd birthday!

2. Some of Shabby Miss Jenn's products:

3. Kay Miller's Jungle Boogie

4. More than enough stuff with freebies from SweetShoppeDesigns.

5. Gina Miller's Sweet Boy Collection that I got for such a greatly reduced price!

I am having a hard time downloading the stuff that I bought because of my terrible DSL connection that my provider is still working on. Slowly but surely, though, I am able to download the kits and I'm hoping to start scrapping stuff this weekend.

I blog hopped a bit too to grab some freebies and participate in some contests and I actually won a $10.00 Starbucks gift card from DigiScrapChat. Unfortunately, Starbucks gift cards are not accepted here so I opted for them to send it to my brother in California. Well, that was really one good win, don't you think?

And then a couple of days after I got another prize of a $5.00 gift certificate to a digital scrapping shoppe of my choice from DigiScrapChat too. I was so overwhelmed by that 2-in-a-row win and it actually made me have a much better week despite the challenges I encountered.

A special birthday celebration, winning contests and lotsa shopping, what more could you have asked for for NSD?

So how about you, how was your NSD weekend?
